Interesting hippie story....?

my eldest uncle is around 63. in his youth he was a quiet, polite young man, often shy, and reserved. however he was handsome and very intelligent. around 1964 he was in college in the uk studying electrical engineering. however, one day he made friends with a hippie who he met in a music store and was immediately fascinated by the hippie subculture. he gave up his studies and went against the wishes of his family becoming a hippie, and travelled all around the world smoking lots of pot and lsd, living in a hippie truck with his hippie friends, singing and taking part in anti war protests. he tells me that he truly found himself during these years and they were the happiest of his life. (i'm sure he even got some action with hippie chicks!). in 1971 he gave up his hippie life when he realized his parents and family needed financial aid and became a carpenter. he is now retired and is the nicest member in my family and i enjoy talking to him. interesting?? any similar stories??

That is very interesting. Not too many people would have the courage to give up their career goals to be free like that. But, I think everyone should travel and live a free lifestyle for the learning and growing experience. I got together a backpack and travelled all over Europe after college.....best thing I ever did. Thanks for the story

Interesting hippie story....?

Well I have some personal experience stories you may find interesting.1. There was this school in North Carolina about 7 years ago. I hated it. There were no trees there. It was horrendous. So, one night my friend and I brought a bunch of baby trees, and started planting planting planting. Hahah needless to say, we didn't get caught, but it angered the school a bit. They took out most of the trees, but left one. Whenever I'm in North Carolina, I'll make a special trip to go there and look at it, and call my friend up and laugh.2. I was tired of seeing hateful graffiti everywhere around me. Seeing people write such blatantly mean things hurts, everyone. So at a place where the wall was just covered with mean things, I got a can of spray paint and wrote in massive letters "YOU'RE BEAUTIFUL, AND I LOVE YOU."
