From my gyno at a private doctors office 2 days ago.I was sent out to give the blood, so thats why it takes awhile.I am super nervous about the tests. I DONT think anything is wrong with me. My gyno was checking my thyroid and stuff and wanted to know if I would like to get STD tests done since they were taking blood out anyways. I said Yes.I am a huge Hypochodriac. So I have this weird thing when it comes to diseases and HIV and stuff.So i am a little freaked out.If something is wrong, will they call me?Or do I have to call them for the results?What about no news is good news lolI know I shouldn't go by that, I just dont think I can handle saying I have something really wrong with me.Any suggestions?How do I get some sort of peice of mind?

I know how u fell when I always do a blood test I start thinking that I will have a diseases u know stuff like that but always my tests are goog.just call them and ask them what was the results I always call them.

Don't worrie....if there will be anythink wrong with your test they will cal you right away....Usualy they only call if it's bad news...do in a day or two if u don't hear from them ...just give them a call and ask for your own peace..good luck

i would think that they would call u if there is something wrong.but u can always call them to make sure if they haven't called u but usually no news is good news.do something to take your mind off of the results like a craft or spa treatement, or take a road trip for a couple of days. i have a thyroid problem and have no trouble admiting it if someone asks. thyroid problems are usually not too big of a deal there are meds that can help u out with that.

you are going to worry yourself to death... try to chill out.... the tests take time to be processed..... if you have no current symptoms,, then your test will probably come back fine.......

They will call you. Generally, they will not give the results of an HIV test over the phone - this is a new policy for many doctors. Do not freak out. If you had something serious LIKE HIV - this is a public health concern and they would notify your doctor right away and tell you to come to the office immediately. I freaked out about an HIV test too and it was negative. I have another one now that I am pregnant and I'm nervous again, but I have no reason to be. Don't worry, you are most likely fine!
