From what I was told (I took the HIV Rapid Oral Test as well), the HIV rapid test is 99.4 - 99.6% accurate with a chance of a .04% error. The test is as accurate as the ELISA (blood) test and it is err to be on the positive side, that is how sensitive it is.It is so sensitive, it has produce more false positives than negatives.. If it did come back positive, they will confirm it with a Western Blot test. Otherwise, the rapid test becoming positive in the beginning (will pick up just about anything in your system) that is why it is so sensitive and has to be confirmed with a 2nd test if it did become positive at the 1st test.ALL you have to even worry or care about is making sure you tested atleast out of the "window period" of 3 months to make sure you are a for sure 'negative'. BTW... No matter what people say, although some people don't have symptoms of HIV for many years, it will automatically be in your blood anyways when they get tested. The reason why people don't know is because they don't get tested with symptoms or not. In California (United States), Hiv RAPID Test are being used in majority of the clinics and mobile unit rapid testings on the streets using the SWAB test instead of blood. The process is quick & safe and can help get those who are tested positive for HIV get the treatment and help they can get as soon as possible.Stay and Play Safe!
